Lifechanging beauty- BB creams!

BB creams have been around for quite a while. They originated in Asia, and are known as the products that has many different benefits. Their real meaning is Blemish Balms, but that itself can be a bit misleading, as they are generally more light in coverage than a foundation and therefor does not cover up blemishes. However, they are GREAT! I recently got into them, and I have to say, they are quickly becoming a staple products in my makeup routine, kicking foundations to the curb. They are a mixture of a moisteurizer, a foundation and a complexion brightener. Many of them are mineral and vitamin enriched, and have an SPF to protect your face from UV light.
Many people have said, that the western BB creams do not hold up against the asian ones. I wouldn't know that, since I have never tried an asian one. A lot of highend, as well as drugstore brand carry them. My FAVORITE BB cream is without a doubt the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfecter. It now comes in two diffeent varieties. One for normal/dry skin and one for combination/oily skin. I use the combination/oily. It really is a dream to apply. I like to apply it with my hands, as I would a normal moisturizer. It sinks in to the skin very easily, and without it looking like a foundation at all, it still gives a beautiful finish and evens out my skintone. It looks more natural than a foundation. I really recommend it! Also, it's really inexpensive. Give it a go!
Please tell me, which is YOUR favorite BB cream?

Favorite MAC eyeshadows!

Oh yes, it's MAC time. Thought I would share my favorite shadows with you, and the reason why. Generally, MAC eyeshadows are extremely good quality. The blend so well and are not chalky or powdery, the pigmentation is great and the colour selection really big. My favorites are mostly neutral earthtoned colors that really suit everyone, regardless og eyecolor.

1. Naked Lunch
My absolute favorite color for using all over the lid. It's a neutral shimmery frost, with pink undertones. Such a beautiful color, which makes your eyes look awake and bright. Also great as a highlight is you like the more shimmery browbone, and for using on the inside corner of the eye.

2. Mulch

Mulch is a beautiful brown bronze colour, which looks fantastic combined with Naked Lunch. I use it in the outside corner of the eye and up in the crease, also underneath the eye. I love that it has the reddish undertones, so it's very warm-toned.

3. Sumptuous Olive

This colour is stunning, because you get the pop of colour without it being overly dramatic and crazy. The colour is a muted olive shot through with gold shimmer. Perfect for brown eyes!

4. Carbon

You can never go wrong with a matte black eyeshadow. I like to wear it along my top lashline, smoked out slightly on the outside corner. I am actually more of a fan of using eyeshadow as liner, instead of a more harsh line.

5. Satin Taupe

This has become one of MACs bestsellers. It's a taupe colour with silver shimmer. Cool toned, it also pairs well with any neutral light colour. It looks gorgeous with blue and green eyes.

6. Woodwinked

Woodwinked is an antique gold colour, really pretty on all eyecolours. I would recommend using a liner or darker eyeshadow along the lashline when using this eyeshadow to give a bit of debth. This is really pretty for summer when you have a tan.

7. Star Violet
This is a pretty burgundy purple, velux pearl finish. This looks great on green eyes, as does all purple eyeshadows. I feel like I am going to wear this shade a lot this winter!

8. Club

This is the very first MAC eyeshadow I bought. Some may say that it's kind og an odd choice, but I fell in love with it after watching a youtube tutorial. At first glanze, it looks like a dark green. The secret is the duo-chrome effect, that makes it twotoned. It is shot through with a reddish brown shimmer, and it looks amazing! This is perfect for a quick smokey eye.

Eyeshadow primers! High end vs. cheap- Is it worth it?

Some beautythings I really enjoy spending money on, and some I just can't be bothered if something cheaper is just as good. Eyeshadow primers are one of those things.. I have an oily skin, and my eyeshadows often crease really badly throughout the day. I lived with it for years before I discovered something actually could be done about it!
I decided to try out the ELF eyeshadow primer, and the Urban Decay Primer Potion in the Original formula.
So is it worth paying more for an eyeshadowprimer? In my case, YES! Ofcourse I have not tried all drugstore primers, but I have to say I was very disappointed in the ELF eyeshadow primer. It goes on quite smooth, and seemless, but it doesn't hold up and my eyeshadow creases when I use it. Maybe that isn't the case, if you have less oily lids. Also, you can't really beat the price. I think it's about 3-4 dollars or even less!

After my disappointing experience with ELF I decided to splurge on the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion. I had heard so many great things about it, so I was expecting it to be pretty great. And it was! My eyeshadow does not move, even after 8+ hours wear. I have gone through several tubes now, and don't see any reason to change it up. I love it! Also, it comes in 4 different colours which is cool. Two matte, and two shimmery colours. I love the matte, but I would imagine the others are just as good. The price is not cheap but you really pay for quality in this case. They recently changed the packaging from the genie with doefoot applicator to a tube you squeeze, I kind of miss the old version, but the product is still great!
